Bill Title: Amends the Intergovernmental Missing Child Recovery Act of 1984. Provides that at the time of first contact with an individual making a report of a missing child who is under 18 years of age, the local law enforcement agency shall provide the individual with information, the contents of which shall be prepared by the Office of the Attorney General and posted on its website, that includes, but is not limited to, the following: (i) the 24-hour toll-free telephone numbers for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the National Runaway Safeline; and (ii) a description of the services provided to families of missing children by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the National Runaway Safeline. Provides that the information may be provided by the local law enforcement agency in a format that includes, but is not limited to, written materials for distribution or a posting on the official website of the local law enforcement agency.

1 AN ACT concerning children.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Intergovernmental Missing Child Recovery
5Act of 1984 is amended by adding Section 7.2 as follows:
6 (325 ILCS 40/7.2 new)
7 Sec. 7.2. Report of missing child under 18 years of age;
8information.
9 (a) At the time of first contact with an individual making
10a report of a missing child who is under 18 years of age, the
11local law enforcement agency shall provide the individual with
12information, the contents of which shall be prepared by the
13Office of the Attorney General and posted on its website, that
14includes, but is not limited to, the following:
15 (1) The 24-hour toll-free telephone numbers for:
16 (A) the National Center for Missing and Exploited
17 Children; and
18 (B) the National Runaway Safeline.
19 (2) A description of the services provided to families
20 of missing children by the National Center for Missing and
21 Exploited Children and the National Runaway Safeline.
22 (b) The information required under subsection (a) may be
23provided by the local law enforcement agency in a format that
