Bill Title: Amends the State Commemorative Dates Act. Provides that the month of April of each year is designated as Healthy Pet Month to be observed throughout the State as a month in which all Illinois pet owners are encouraged to take time to review their pet's health needs and make arrangements with their veterinarians to have annual exams and evaluations performed to enhance and extend their pet's quality of life.

SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
5 ILCS 490/12 new

Amends the State Commemorative Dates Act. Provides that the month of April of each year is designated as Healthy Pet Month to be observed throughout the State as a month in which all Illinois pet owners are encouraged to take time to review their pet's health needs and make arrangements with their veterinarians to have annual exams and evaluations performed to enhance and extend their pet's quality of life.

1 AN ACT concerning government.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The State Commemorative Dates Act is amended by
5adding Section 12 as follows:
6 (5 ILCS 490/12 new)
7 Sec. 12. Healthy Pet Month. The month of April of each year
8is designated as Healthy Pet Month to be observed throughout
9the State as a month in which all Illinois pet owners are
