1 AN ACT concerning animals.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Livestock Management Facilities Act is
5 amended by changing Section 10.30 as follows:
6 (510 ILCS 77/10.30)
7 Sec. 10.30. Livestock management facility. "Livestock
8 management facility" means any animal feeding operation,
9 livestock shelter, or on-farm milking and and accompanying
10 milk-handling area. Two or more livestock management
11 facilities under common ownership, where the facilities are not
12 separated by a minimum distance of 1/4 mile, and that share a
13 common livestock waste handling facility shall be considered a
14 single livestock management facility. A livestock management
15 facility at educational institutions, livestock pasture
16 operations, where animals are housed on a temporary basis such
17 as county and state fairs, livestock shows, race tracks, and
18 horse breeding and foaling farms, and market holding facilities
19 are not subject to this Act.
