1 AN ACT concerning animals.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Livestock Management Facilities Act is
5amended by changing Section 10.30 as follows:
6 (510 ILCS 77/10.30)
7 Sec. 10.30. Livestock management facility. "Livestock
8management facility" means any animal feeding operation,
9livestock shelter, or on-farm milking and and accompanying
10milk-handling area. Two or more livestock management
11facilities under common ownership, where the facilities are not
12separated by a minimum distance of 1/4 mile, and that share a
13common livestock waste handling facility shall be considered a
14single livestock management facility. A livestock management
15facility at educational institutions, livestock pasture
16operations, where animals are housed on a temporary basis such
17as county and state fairs, livestock shows, race tracks, and
18horse breeding and foaling farms, and market holding facilities
19are not subject to this Act.
