1 AN ACT concerning State government.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Act on the Aging is amended by
5changing Section 2 as follows:
6 (20 ILCS 105/2) (from Ch. 23, par. 6102)
7 Sec. 2. The The ability of the constantly increasing number
8of aged in the State to maintain self-sufficiency and personal
9well-being with the dignity to which their years of labor
10entitle them and to realize their maximum potential as creative
11and productive individuals are matters of profound import and
12concern for all of the people of this State.
13 The purposes of this Act are to provide a comprehensive and
14coordinated service system for the State's aging population,
15giving high priority to those persons in greatest need; to
16conduct studies and research into the needs and problems of the
17aging; and to insure participation by the aging in the planning
18and operation of all phases of the system.
