1 AN ACT concerning revenue.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Simplified Sales and Use Tax Administration
5Act is amended by changing Section 3 as follows:
6 (35 ILCS 171/3)
7 Sec. 3. Legislative finding. The The General Assembly finds
8that a simplified sales tax and use tax system will reduce and
9over time eliminate the burden and cost for all vendors to
10collect this State's sales and use tax. The General Assembly
11further finds that this State should participate in multistate
12discussions to review or amend or both review and amend the
13terms of the Agreement to simplify and modernize sales tax and
14use tax administration in order to substantially reduce the
15burden of tax compliance for all sellers and for all types of
16commerce.
