| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives are pleased to congratulate Robert Coleman on | ||||||
4 | his retirement from the Morris Fire Department; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, He was born and raised in Morris, and served in | ||||||
6 | the National Guard; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, He joined the Fire Department in 1960, and served | ||||||
8 | the department as a part-time Chief for 33 of his 50 years; in | ||||||
9 | addition, he is also the City of Morris Fire Marshal; his | ||||||
10 | father was also a Morris firefighter; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, During his tenure the Morris Fire Department has | ||||||
12 | evolved from a volunteer to a paid on call to a paid on | ||||||
13 | premises Fire Department; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, He has also been a real estate broker his entire | ||||||
15 | professional career and currently has ownership in | ||||||
16 | Coleman-Hornsby Century 21; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, He serves on the Joliet Junior College fire | ||||||
18 | science advisory council and was instrumental in establishing | ||||||
19 | the Grundy County Vocational Center Fire Science program, | ||||||
20 | established in 2009; therefore, be it

1 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
2 | NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
3 | congratulate Robert Coleman on his retirement, thank him for | ||||||
4 | his service, and wish him the best in all his future endeavors; | ||||||
5 | and be it further

6 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
