HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Pauline Kuebler on
4receiving the "2014 Most Dedicated Blood Drive Coordinator
5Award" from the Illinois Coalition of Community Blood Centers;
6and
7 WHEREAS, For nearly 25 years, Pauline Kuebler has played a
8significant role in ensuring a safe and adequate blood supply
9for her community; and
10 WHEREAS, In 1990, Pauline Kuebler began her service as the
11blood drive coordinator for the Railroad Retirement Board; and
12 WHEREAS, Since that time, Pauline Kuebler has served as the
13Chairperson for over 50 of the 2-day drives that are held twice
14a year; and
15 WHEREAS, Despite a decrease in the number of Railroad
16Retirement Board employees over the years, Pauline Kuebler's
17blood drives have consistently maintained donation numbers in
18the 80 and 90 percentiles for each of the 2-day drives; and
19 WHEREAS, Part of Pauline Kuebler's success can be
20attributed to the team approach she takes in coordinating her

1drives, assembling a volunteer committee representing various
2departments; and
3 WHEREAS, As a registered nurse, Pauline Kuebler has a
4special appreciation for the importance of blood donation; and
5 WHEREAS, Pauline Kuebler's drives have brought in over
65,400 units of blood which have the potential to save 16,200
7lives; and
8 WHEREAS, In 2014, LifeSource Blood Center nominated
9Pauline Kuebler for the "Most Dedicated Blood Drive Coordinator
10Award" in a State-wide competition hosted by the Illinois
11Coalition of Community Blood Centers; therefore, be it
12 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
13NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
14we commend Pauline Kuebler on her years of selfless service and
15commitment to the community and wish her continued success with
16her blood drive collection efforts; and be it further
17 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to Pauline Kuebler as a symbol of our respect and
19esteem.
