1 | HOUSE RESOLUTION
| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Jim Cristman on the | ||||||
4 | occasion of his retirement as Vice President of Refining for | ||||||
5 | CITGO; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Jim Cristman started at the Lemont Refinery in
| ||||||
7 | 1980 and is retiring after 38 years of service and the | ||||||
8 | operation of the facility by three different companies; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Jim Cristman began working for the Union Oil
| ||||||
10 | Company of California as a process operator; he was promoted to | ||||||
11 | management
as a shift supervisor in 1984 and then to unit
| ||||||
12 | supervisor in hydrotreating in 1988; over the next
20 years, he | ||||||
13 | held positions as training manager, area manager, operations
| ||||||
14 | manager, and general manager of operations and maintenance; in | ||||||
15 | 2008, he
became the Vice President and General Manager of the | ||||||
16 | Lemont Refinery; he has served
as the Vice President of | ||||||
17 | Refining for CITGO since late in 2017; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Jim Cristman has served on a variety of
local | ||||||
19 | business committees including the executive committee of the | ||||||
20 | Three
Rivers Manufacturers' Association, where he was chairman | ||||||
21 | for two terms; he was
also a member of the American Petroleum | ||||||
22 | Institute's Operating Practices
Committee from 2010 to 2018; he |

1 | has supported the Muscular
Dystrophy Association which has led | ||||||
2 | to the development of many new initiatives and has helped the | ||||||
3 | local chapter achieve multiple fundraising records; and
| ||||||
4 | WHEREAS, Jim Cristman and his wife, Cheryl, live in Downers | ||||||
5 | Grove and are the parents of four
adult children; therefore, be | ||||||
6 | it

7 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
8 | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
9 | congratulate Jim Cristman on his retirement as Vice President | ||||||
10 | of Refining for CITGO, and we wish him the best in all his | ||||||
11 | future endeavors; and be it further

12 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
13 | presented to Jim Cristman as a symbol of our respect and | ||||||
14 | esteem.
