HOUSE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
Representatives wish to congratulate Johnny Waity on achieving
the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank and most coveted
honor in Scouting; and
WHEREAS, Johnny Waity is a member of St. Hubert Boy Scout
Troop 399 in Hoffman Estates; through his dedication and hard
work, he has demonstrated that he lives by the principles of
the Scout Oath and Law in his daily life; and
WHEREAS, An Eagle Service Project is required to be of
significant value to the community; since the 4th grade, Johnny
Waity has been volunteering with the Almost Home Foundation, a
rescue shelter for dogs and cats; for his project, he raised
funds to purchase supplies for the foundation, operated a food
and supply drive for the animals, and reorganized a storage
room at the foundation's facility; and
WHEREAS, Johnny Waity sets a fine example for his peers and
friends through his leadership, hard work, and commitment; and
WHEREAS, Johnny Waity is a junior at Conant High School; he
plans to attended college and study computer programming; and

WHEREAS, Johnny Waity will be recognized at the Eagle Court
of Honor on October 7, 2018 at St. Hubert Catholic Church;
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
congratulate Johnny Waity on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout,
and we wish him the best in all his future endeavors; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to Johnny Waity as a symbol of our respect and
esteem.
