| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate the Proviso East High | ||||||
| 4 | School and Proviso West High School girls and boys track & | ||||||
| 5 | field teams on making their presence felt during IHSA state | ||||||
| 6 | finals competitions; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, The Proviso West Panthers came in 30th, while the | ||||||
| 8 | East Proviso Pirates came in 56th, out of 78 teams at the boys | ||||||
| 9 | track & field state finals meet held May 24-26, 2018 in | ||||||
| 10 | Charleston; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, The Panthers took first place in the 4 x 400-meter | ||||||
| 12 | relay; the relay team featured junior Gregory Williamson, | ||||||
| 13 | seniors Kevon Williams and Derrick Crosby, and sophomore | ||||||
| 14 | Katrell Askins; Proviso East senior Moses Ikechukwu Biosah took | ||||||
| 15 | fifth place in the 400-meter dash; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, At the girls track & field state finals meet, held | ||||||
| 17 | May 17-19 in Charleston, the Panthers came in 35th out of 70 | ||||||
| 18 | teams; the Panthers came in fourth in the 4 x 200-meter relay; | ||||||
| 19 | the team featured all seniors: Zacaria Fisher, Talia Robinson, | ||||||
| 20 | Cameryn Fisher, and Tanayea Kimbrough; Tanayea Kimbrough also | ||||||
| 21 | placed 9th in the 100-meter dash and 8th in the 300-meter low | ||||||
| 22 | hurdles; therefore, be it

| 1 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 2 | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 3 | congratulate the Proviso East High School and Proviso West High | ||||||
| 4 | School girls and boys track & field teams on making their | ||||||
| 5 | presence felt during IHSA state finals competitions, and we | ||||||
| 6 | wish them many more years of success; and be it further
| ||||||
| 7 | RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be | ||||||
| 8 | presented to the Proviso East High School and Proviso West High | ||||||
| 9 | School girls and boys track & field teams and state champions, | ||||||
| 10 | Gregory Williamson, Kevon Williams, Derrick Crosby, and | ||||||
