2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Greg Fenton on
the | ||||||
4 | occasion of his retirement from the Division of Developmental | ||||||
5 | Disabilities for the Department of
Human Services; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Greg Fenton has served as the Director of the | ||||||
7 | Division of Developmental Disabilities for the
Department of | ||||||
8 | Human Services for the past three years; prior to becoming | ||||||
9 | Director, he was Deputy
Director of State Operated Facilities | ||||||
10 | for the Developmentally Disabled; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Throughout his tenure, Greg Fenton has been a | ||||||
12 | great friend to people with disabilities, their
families, and | ||||||
13 | other entities that strive to improve the lives of the | ||||||
14 | developmentally disabled throughout
Illinois; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Greg Fenton is the epitome of what an | ||||||
16 | administrator should be, leading his department with
| ||||||
17 | intelligence, integrity, fairness, open communication, and | ||||||
18 | deep respect for all individuals; he served as a
forceful | ||||||
19 | advocate for all individuals with developmental disabilities, | ||||||
20 | as well as those who love and care
for them; he operates with | ||||||
21 | the belief that every voice has value and is worthy of being | ||||||
22 | heard, and he has no doubt
made a difference in the lives of |

2 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
3 | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
4 | congratulate Greg Fenton on his retirement, and we look back on | ||||||
5 | his lifetime
of public service with deep respect and gratitude | ||||||
6 | and hold him up as an example for all administrators; and be it | ||||||
