2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives are pleased to congratulate the cheerleaders | ||||||
4 | of Lincoln-Way East High School in Frankfort on winning the | ||||||
5 | Illinois High School Association (IHSA) State Cheerleading | ||||||
6 | Championship on February 8, 2014; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, The Lincoln-Way East High School cheerleaders, | ||||||
8 | the Griffins, toppled their competition in the preliminary | ||||||
9 | rounds of the IHSA finals on February 7, 2014, finishing at the | ||||||
10 | top of their division; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, After posting the top score in their division on | ||||||
12 | the first day of competition, the Griffins put up another | ||||||
13 | top-notch routine in the final round and held on to take the | ||||||
14 | 2014 IHSA Large Division Cheerleading State Championship at | ||||||
15 | U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington; and

16 | WHEREAS, The Griffins put up a final score of 97.06, | ||||||
17 | beating runner-up Neuqua Valley's 95.00 and third-place | ||||||
18 | finisher Providence Catholic's 93.94; therefore, be it

19 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
20 | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
21 | we congratulate the Lincoln-Way East High School cheerleaders, |
