| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are pleased to congratulate Raymond Lunz for | ||||||
| 4 | receiving the "2015 Best School Blood Drive Coordinator Award" | ||||||
| 5 | from the Illinois Coalition of Community Blood Centers; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, In 2012, Raymond Lunz began overseeing the | ||||||
| 7 | organization blood drives at Morton East High School in Cicero, | ||||||
| 8 | which are held 3 times a year; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, The success of Morton East's blood drives are a | ||||||
| 10 | result of Raymond Lunz's leadership in organizing multi-day | ||||||
| 11 | donor recruitment campaigns prior to the drives; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Raymond Lunz's strong recruitment efforts have | ||||||
| 13 | led to over 500 students being registered to donate prior to | ||||||
| 14 | each blood drive, which is a huge percentage of the school's | ||||||
| 15 | eligible donors; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Raymond Lunz works with Morton East's | ||||||
| 17 | administrative leadership to ensure the blood drives receive | ||||||
| 18 | great exposure and are advertised on televisions throughout the | ||||||
| 19 | school; and
| ||||||
| 20 | WHEREAS, The results of Raymond Lunz's efforts will | ||||||

| |||||||
| 1 | continue to be seen for years to come because of the critical | ||||||
| 2 | role high school blood drives play in cultivating lifetime | ||||||
| 3 | donors; and
| ||||||
| 4 | WHEREAS, Raymond Lunz has been responsible for the | ||||||
| 5 | collection of over 5,500 units of blood, which have had the | ||||||
| 6 | potential to save over 15,000 lives; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 7 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 8 | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 9 | commend Raymond Lunz for his selfless service to his community | ||||||
| 10 | and his strong commitment to his students; and be it further
| ||||||
| 11 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 12 | presented to Raymond Lunz as a symbol of our respect and | ||||||
| 13 | esteem.
