HOUSE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
Representatives wish to congratulate Brian Patrick O'Hara on
achieving the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of
America; and
WHEREAS, The Eagle Scout Award is Boy Scouting's highest
honor; nationally, only six percent of eligible Boy Scouts earn
the award; to earn it, Scouts have to complete 21 required
merit badges and plan and carry out their Eagle project, which
is required to be of significant value to the community; and
WHEREAS, Brian O'Hara's Eagle project was completed at St.
Viator's High School, where he built a bench, and landscaped
the waiting area for the parents, and an area around the
Science Building; and
WHEREAS, Through his dedication and hard work, Brian O'Hara
has demonstrated that he lives his daily life by the principles
of the Scout Oath and Law; and
WHEREAS, Brian O'Hara is a graduate of St. Viator's High
School in Arlington Heights; he is currently enrolled in the
Business Honors Program at Loyola University; and

WHEREAS, Brian O'Hara sets a fine example for his peers and
friends through his leadership, hard work, and commitment;
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
congratulate Brian O'Hara on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout
with the Boy Scouts of America, and we commend him for his
dedication and determination; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to Brian O'Hara as an expression of our esteem and
respect.
