| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Kim Thomas on being | ||||||
| 4 | selected as a finalist for Illinois Teacher of the Year; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Kim Thomas teaches 8th grade math at the Woodruff | ||||||
| 6 | Career and Technical Center in Peoria School District 150; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Kim Thomas has been teaching for 23 years; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Kim Thomas recently won District 150's Don Phares | ||||||
| 9 | Award for outstanding teacher; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Kim Thomas works to make her lessons fun for | ||||||
| 11 | everyone and even has a theme song for her class; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, The Illinois Teacher of the Year will be named at | ||||||
| 13 | the Those Who Excel banquet in Normal on October 17, 2015; | ||||||

| 15 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 16 | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 17 | congratulate Kim Thomas on being selected as a finalist for | ||||||
| 18 | Illinois Teacher of the Year, and we thank her for her | ||||||
| 19 | commitment to education; and be it further
