| 1 | HOUSE RESOLUTION

| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate the Richland
County Farm | ||||||
| 4 | Bureau for its commitment to proudly serving farmers in the | ||||||
| 5 | county of Richland, as well as
the state, for 100 years; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, In 1917, farm leaders and enterprising | ||||||
| 7 | businessmen in Richland County saw the need to
start an | ||||||
| 8 | organization to help farmers within the county; this | ||||||
| 9 | organization was founded and called the
Richland County Farm | ||||||
| 10 | Bureau; a group of farmers began meeting to discuss important | ||||||
| 11 | issues facing
Richland County's farming community and | ||||||
| 12 | families; in the early years, Richland County Farm Bureau
| ||||||
| 13 | proved its influence by introducing programs that drastically | ||||||
| 14 | improved the lives of farmers within the
county; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, The Richland County Farm Bureau is a | ||||||
| 16 | membership-driven, non-profit organization that
provides | ||||||
| 17 | excellent agricultural resources, education, and information | ||||||
| 18 | to all rural and urban Richland
County residents; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Throughout its long history, the Richland County | ||||||
| 20 | Farm Bureau has developed and
initiated many farm programs, | ||||||
| 21 | agricultural education programs, and member services and | ||||||
| 22 | benefits in
order to improve Richland County's agricultural | ||||||

| |||||||
| 1 | community and to ensure that agriculture stays at the
forefront | ||||||
| 2 | as one of Richland County's most valuable economic engines; and
| ||||||
| 3 | WHEREAS, The Richland County Farm Bureau continues to give | ||||||
| 4 | back to the people and community
of the county; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Today, the Richland County Farm Bureau is a leader | ||||||
| 6 | for agricultural policy on the local,
State, and national | ||||||
| 7 | levels by focusing on its core mission: to improve the economic | ||||||
| 8 | well-being of
agriculture and enrich the quality of farm family | ||||||
| 9 | life; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, The Richland County Farm Bureau achieves its | ||||||
| 11 | mission by educating farmers, supporting
common sense | ||||||
| 12 | legislation, and telling the farmer's story to the public; | ||||||
| 13 | therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 14 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 15 | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 16 | congratulate the members and staff of the Richland County Farm | ||||||
| 17 | Bureau on the
occasion of the organization's l00th anniversary; | ||||||
| 18 | and be it further

| 19 | RESOLVED, That we recognize and
appreciate the Richland | ||||||
| 20 | County Farm Bureau's leadership and guidance on matters | ||||||
| 21 | important to
Richland County's agricultural community; and be | ||||||
