HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives wish to congratulate the Pike County Softball
4All-Stars 12U on their success during the 2019 season; and
5 WHEREAS, Pike County Softball All-Stars 12U is a 12 and
6Under Little League girls softball team; and
7 WHEREAS, Pike County swept the competition in district play
8and then traveled to Brookfield for a week long tournament that
9resulted in its second consecutive Illinois Little League state
10championship title; and
11 WHEREAS, Pike County traveled to Fishers, Indiana to
12compete in the Little League World Series regional round, where
13they beat Wisconsin and Ohio and finished among the top 16 in
14the country, losing to Nebraska in the semi-final round of
15Little League World Series regional play; and
16 WHEREAS, Pike County is coached by Jeremy Wombles, Jim
17Erke, Brian Winchell, and Tommy Hill; and
18 WHEREAS, The members of the Pike County Softball All-Stars
1912U are Ava Wombles, Grace Henry, Rachel McMullen, Taylor
20Peebles, Kali Vanstrien, Madison Daniels, Hannah Hill,

1McKinley Walston, Harlee Decamp, Makenna Winchell, Karli
2Colgrove, Emma Henry, and Brynlee McQuay; therefore, be it
3 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
4HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
5we congratulate the Pike County Softball All-Stars 12U on their
6success during the 2019 season, and we wish them many more
7successful years; and be it further
8 RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
9presented to all coaches and members of the Pike County
10Softball All-Stars 12U.
