| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate the Pike County Softball | ||||||
| 4 | All-Stars 12U on their success during the 2019 season; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Pike County Softball All-Stars 12U is a 12 and | ||||||
| 6 | Under Little League girls softball team; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Pike County swept the competition in district play | ||||||
| 8 | and then traveled to Brookfield for a week long tournament that | ||||||
| 9 | resulted in its second consecutive Illinois Little League state | ||||||
| 10 | championship title; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Pike County traveled to Fishers, Indiana to | ||||||
| 12 | compete in the Little League World Series regional round, where | ||||||
| 13 | they beat Wisconsin and Ohio and finished among the top 16 in | ||||||
| 14 | the country, losing to Nebraska in the semi-final round of | ||||||
| 15 | Little League World Series regional play; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Pike County is coached by Jeremy Wombles,
Jim | ||||||
| 17 | Erke, Brian Winchell, and
Tommy Hill; and

| 18 | WHEREAS, The members of the Pike County Softball All-Stars | ||||||
| 19 | 12U are Ava Wombles, Grace Henry, Rachel McMullen, Taylor | ||||||
| 20 | Peebles, Kali Vanstrien, Madison Daniels, Hannah Hill, | ||||||
