| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate David Dato on the occasion | ||||||
| 4 | of his retirement as Chief of the Wauconda Fire District; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, David Dato began his career as a volunteer | ||||||
| 6 | firefighter with the Wauconda Fire District in 1978; he became | ||||||
| 7 | a full-time Fireman and Paramedic with the Fire District in | ||||||
| 8 | 1984; in 1992, he became Chief of the Wauconda Fire District; | ||||||
| 9 | and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, David Dato has served in many capacities with the | ||||||
| 11 | organization since becoming a member, including Firefighter, | ||||||
| 12 | EMT, Paramedic, Dive Master, Director of Fire Prevention, | ||||||
| 13 | Lieutenant, Captain, and Chief; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, David Dato was selected to be Illinois Chief of | ||||||
| 15 | the Year in 2010; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, David Dato has served on the Illinois Terrorism | ||||||
| 17 | Task Force since 2000 and is currently the Co-Chair of the Task | ||||||
| 18 | Force's Communications Committee; he has also served as | ||||||
| 19 | Chairman of the Lake County Emergency Telephone System Board | ||||||
| 20 | since 1993; and

| 1 | WHEREAS, David Dato serves as a model of hard work, | ||||||
| 2 | integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of | ||||||
| 3 | Illinois; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 4 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 5 | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 6 | congratulate David Dato on the occasion of his retirement and | ||||||
| 7 | wish him continued success and happiness in the future; and be | ||||||
| 8 | it further
| ||||||
| 9 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 10 | presented to David Dato as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
