| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, On September 21, 1979, Dick Levi, Roger Ray, and | ||||||
| 3 | Bob Shoup opened their business, Levi, Ray & Shoup, Inc. (LRS) | ||||||
| 4 | in Springfield, as a local computer consulting company with the | ||||||
| 5 | goal of providing the best solutions for its customers; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Forty years later, their roots have remained in | ||||||
| 7 | Springfield, and LRS has become a global provider of | ||||||
| 8 | information technology solutions throughout North America, | ||||||
| 9 | Europe, Asia, and Australia; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, LRS's commitment to customer service and to | ||||||
| 11 | providing the best solution for the best value has been the | ||||||
| 12 | company's foundation since day one, and they have never strayed | ||||||
| 13 | from that vision; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, LRS's services and divisions have expanded to | ||||||
| 15 | include Enterprise Output Management, Consulting Services, | ||||||
| 16 | Retirement Solutions, Web Solutions, IT Solutions, Education | ||||||
| 17 | Services, Capella Technologies, Diversified Yacht Services, | ||||||
| 18 | and Central Illinois Security, Inc.; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, The heart of LRS is composed of more than 900 | ||||||
| 20 | people, which gives the company its competitive advantage; | ||||||
| 21 | these team members are the ones who allow LRS to continue to | ||||||

| 2 | WHEREAS, LRS has been a quiet, yet strong, supporter of the | ||||||
| 3 | community; Springfield is the city it is today because of the | ||||||
| 4 | families and businesses, like LRS, who have made Springfield | ||||||
| 5 | their home; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, LRS has stayed true to the statement made by | ||||||
| 7 | President Abraham Lincoln, "Determine that the thing can and | ||||||
| 8 | shall be done, and then we shall find the way"; therefore, be | ||||||
| 9 | it

| 10 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 11 | HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 12 | we congratulate Levi, Ray & Shoup, Inc. on the occasion of its | ||||||
| 13 | 40th anniversary and wish the company many more successful | ||||||
| 14 | years; and be it further

| 15 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
