| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Talicia Levy on receiving | ||||||
| 4 | the Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest honor a Girl Scout can | ||||||
| 5 | earn; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, For her gold project, Talicia Levy created a | ||||||
| 7 | reading area for Mrs. Miller's fourth grade class at Oak View | ||||||
| 8 | Elementary School; she made three bookcases that needed to fit | ||||||
| 9 | perfectly under the classroom's smart board and painted them | ||||||
| 10 | blue and yellow; she also made two cubed ottoman seats with | ||||||
| 11 | inside storage for additional classroom storage; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, The reading area Talicia Levy created will help | ||||||
| 13 | children enjoy reading for many years to come; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, The Girl Scout Gold Award acknowledges the power | ||||||
| 15 | behind each recipient's dedication to not only empowering and | ||||||
| 16 | bettering herself but also to making the world a better place | ||||||
| 17 | for others; therefore, be it

| 18 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 19 | HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 20 | we congratulate Talicia Levy on receiving the Girl Scout Gold | ||||||
| 21 | Award, the highest honor a Girl Scout can earn, and wish her | ||||||
