2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Fulton | ||||||
4 | County Sheriff's Deputy Troy P. Chisum, who passed away on June | ||||||
5 | 25, 2019; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Deputy Chisum was born in Phoenix, Arizona to Phil | ||||||
7 | and Debra (Hebb) Chisum on August 10, 1979; he married Amanda | ||||||
8 | Stoddard in Canton on April 17, 1999; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Deputy Chisum loved his community and served as a | ||||||
10 | deputy with the Fulton County Sheriff's Office; he also worked | ||||||
11 | as a paramedic with the Fulton County EMA and as a firefighter | ||||||
12 | with Northern Tazewell County; he was a member of the West | ||||||
13 | Central Special Response Team and the ILEAS WMD/SRT Team, | ||||||
14 | Region 6; he had previously worked for the Lewistown Police | ||||||
15 | Department; and

16 | WHEREAS, Deputy Chisum enjoyed watching the Minnesota | ||||||
17 | Vikings, visiting the shooting range, and playing on his alumni | ||||||
18 | football team; he enjoyed any activities that involved his wife | ||||||
19 | and his daughters and was always their number one fan; and

20 | WHEREAS, Deputy Chisum was preceded in death by his | ||||||
21 | paternal grandparents and his sister-in-law, Jessica Lasswell; |

2 | WHEREAS, Deputy Chisum is survived by his wife, Amanda; his | ||||||
3 | father, Phil Chisum; his mother and stepfather, Debra (Mike) | ||||||
4 | Wheeler; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Walt (Kathy) | ||||||
5 | Thomas; his daughters, Kyleigh (Andy DeLost) Chisum, Abigail | ||||||
6 | Chisum, and Gracie Chisum; his sister, Krysta Dilts; his | ||||||
7 | stepbrother, Zach Wheeler; his stepsister, Cher (Matt) Valdez; | ||||||
8 | his maternal grandparents, Lyle and Betty Hebb; and several | ||||||
9 | nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

10 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
11 | HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
12 | we mourn the passing of Fulton County Sheriff's Deputy Troy P. | ||||||
13 | Chisum and extend our sincere condolences to his family, | ||||||
14 | friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

15 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
16 | presented to the family of Deputy Chisum as an expression of | ||||||
