| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Boy Scouts of America | ||||||
| 4 | Troop 24 of Riverside on the occasion of the 100th anniversary | ||||||
| 5 | of its founding; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, The Boy Scouts of America was founded in 1910; | ||||||
| 7 | Troop 24 was formed in Riverside on March 31, 1917; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Since 1939, Troop 24 has been sponsored by | ||||||
| 9 | Riverside Presbyterian Church; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Over the past 100 years, hundreds of boys have | ||||||
| 11 | been members of
Troop 24; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Over 90 scouts from Troop 24 have attained the | ||||||
| 13 | rank of Eagle, the
highest rank in the Boy Scouts; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Troop 24 is celebrating its 100th anniversary with | ||||||
| 15 | a special
program on May 20, 2017; therefore, be it

| 16 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 17 | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 18 | congratulate Boy Scouts of America Troop 24 on the 100th | ||||||
| 19 | anniversary of its founding, and we wish it many more wonderful | ||||||

| 2 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 3 | presented to Troop 24 as an expression of our esteem and | ||||||
