| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
| ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Marshall Jones on being
| ||||||
| 4 | named the 2017 Outstanding Citizen by the Kewanee Chamber of | ||||||
| 5 | Commerce Ambassador Club; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Marshall Jones has been an active citizen of
| ||||||
| 7 | Kewanee for over 35 years; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Marshall Jones has
helped the community through | ||||||
| 9 | various leadership and volunteer
positions with Junior | ||||||
| 10 | Achievement USA, the Rotary Club, the Kewanee Salvation Army | ||||||
| 11 | Board, the Kewanee Area United Way, Freedom House, Project Now, | ||||||
| 12 | and
as a minister and hospice chaplain; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Marshall Jones retired from Verizon after 35 years | ||||||
| 14 | and
is now spending his "golden years" giving back as a | ||||||
| 15 | full-time
community volunteer; he plans on completing another | ||||||
| 16 | degree in information
technology; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 17 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 18 | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 19 | wish to
congratulate Marshall Jones on being named the 2017 | ||||||
| 20 | Outstanding
Citizen by the Kewanee Chamber of Commerce | ||||||
