| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
| ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to recognize
the Illinois Valley | ||||||
| 4 | Community Hospital Volunteer Escort Service, the Red Coats, in | ||||||
| 5 | observing its 30th anniversary in 2017; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, The Red Coats assist in helping patients to their | ||||||
| 7 | rooms, to medical appointments, wheeling discharged patients, | ||||||
| 8 | making deliveries between hospital departments, and allowing | ||||||
| 9 | hospital staff more time to care for their patients; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, The Red Coats made their first trips to Illinois | ||||||
| 11 | Valley Community Hospital on February 2, 1987 and all 20 of the | ||||||
| 12 | volunteer escorts were men; women have since joined the group | ||||||
| 13 | and today there are 38 Red Coats volunteering and more than 160 | ||||||
| 14 | men and women who have served; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 15 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 16 | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 17 | recognize the 30th anniversary of the Illinois Valley Community | ||||||
| 18 | Hospital Volunteers Escort Service, The Red Coats; and be it | ||||||
| 19 | further

| 20 | RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be

| 21 | presented to Illinois Valley Community Hospital board | ||||||
