| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are pleased to recognize Hattie Lee | ||||||
| 4 | Cain-Fulton of Chicago, on the occasion of her 95th birthday; | ||||||
| 5 | and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Hattie Lee Cain-Fulton was born in Leflore County, | ||||||
| 7 | Mississippi, to Alfred Cain and Ida Mae Ellis on February 6, | ||||||
| 8 | 1922; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Hattie Cain-Fulton is the mother of 14 children, | ||||||
| 10 | 30 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and five | ||||||
| 11 | great-great-grandchildren; she is devoted to the duties and | ||||||
| 12 | responsibilities of motherhood; she has always administered | ||||||
| 13 | unwavering and unconditional love; even at tough times, she has | ||||||
| 14 | never hesitated to sacrifice her own comfort for the sake of | ||||||
| 15 | her family and others; she is known to be a great cook and is | ||||||
| 16 | always willing to provide anyone with a meal; she is known to | ||||||
| 17 | go to her own closet to find clothes and shoes for someone in | ||||||
| 18 | need; she has always been a source of great support by lending | ||||||
| 19 | a hand so all would know their worth, and she never turns | ||||||
| 20 | anyone away, no matter who they are; she believes every heart | ||||||
| 21 | needs a family and she cares for those whose hearts are longing | ||||||
| 22 | for a family of their own; she is a mother, "big mama", auntie, | ||||||
| 23 | sister, and friend to all she encounters; she is a sharp | ||||||

| 1 | dresser and beautiful from head to toe; and
| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, Hattie Cain-Fulton worked at the University of | ||||||
| 3 | Chicago and has volunteered with the National Sarcoidosis | ||||||
| 4 | Society, the Garage Boys, and many other organizations; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Hattie Cain-Fulton celebrated 95 years of a | ||||||
| 6 | lifetime of gratitude and love on February 6, 2017; her family | ||||||
| 7 | is thankful for her caring nature and the sharing of her home, | ||||||
| 8 | meals, clothing, and anything that was ever asked of her; she | ||||||
| 9 | is still cooking and caring for others, making home visits, or | ||||||
| 10 | hanging out with her daughters; she always maintains her | ||||||
| 11 | impeccable appearance and high standards; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 12 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 13 | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 14 | wish Hattie Lee Cain-Fulton a happy 95th birthday, and | ||||||
| 15 | recognize her life of dedication to her family and her | ||||||
| 16 | community, and wish her many more healthy and happy years; and | ||||||
| 17 | be it further

| 18 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
