| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Joseph
Ferreti-Raucci | ||||||
| 4 | upon his election as President of the Second Grade at Troy | ||||||
| 5 | Shorewood
Elementary School in Shorewood, Will County; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Joseph Ferreti-Raucci, known as "Joe" to his | ||||||
| 7 | friends and constituents, was elected on
November 4, 2016 as | ||||||
| 8 | President of Mrs. Michelle McCabe's second grade classroom, one | ||||||
| 9 | of four
second grade classrooms at Troy Shorewood Elementary | ||||||
| 10 | School; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, President Joe was elected President of the entire | ||||||
| 12 | second grade at Troy Shorewood Elementary School on November 8, | ||||||
| 13 | 2016; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, President Joe's campaign platform was to:
| ||||||
| 15 | 1) work with the Principal to establish a taco bar in the | ||||||
| 16 | cafeteria;
| ||||||
| 17 | 2) work with the second grade teachers to establish a | ||||||
| 18 | second grade Olympics, snowman
building contest, or some | ||||||
| 19 | other activity between classrooms to foster more of a sense | ||||||
| 20 | of unity and
of a second grade "team"; and

| 1 | 3) work to ensure no one in the second grade feels bullied | ||||||
| 2 | or unwelcome; and
| ||||||
| 3 | WHEREAS, President Joe envisions the second grade as an | ||||||
| 4 | example for the rest of the school as the grade
that sticks | ||||||
| 5 | together and looks out for one another; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, President Joe's campaign slogan was "I am the Joe | ||||||
| 7 | for the job"; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, President Joe has already met with school | ||||||
| 9 | officials to discuss details to accomplish the
implementation | ||||||
| 10 | of his campaign platform; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 11 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 12 | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 13 | congratulate Joseph Ferreti-Raucci upon his election as | ||||||
| 14 | President of the Second Grade and we wish him the best during | ||||||
| 15 | his term in office; and be it further
| ||||||
| 16 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 17 | presented to President Joe as an
expression of our esteem and | ||||||
| 18 | respect.
