3 | Representatives wish to congratulate the Gibson | ||||||
4 | City-Melvin-Sibley High School (GCMS) varsity football team, | ||||||
5 | the Falcons, on winning the 2018 Illinois High

6 | Association (IHSA) Class 2A State Football Championship; and

7 | WHEREAS, After trailing in the first quarter, the Falcons | ||||||
8 | defeated Maroa-Forsyth 35-16 on November
23, 2018 at Memorial | ||||||
9 | Stadium on the campus of the University of Illinois at | ||||||
10 | Champaign-Urbana; and

11 | WHEREAS, The Falcons finished the season with a perfect | ||||||
12 | record of 14-0; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, The Falcons also defeated Maroa-Forsyth in 2017's | ||||||
14 | title game, making this the second
consecutive Class 2A state | ||||||
15 | title for GCMS; and
