AN ACT concerning education.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section
34-18.60 as follows:
(105 ILCS 5/34-18.60 new)
Sec. 34-18.60. Report; sexual abuse or sexual assault. The
board must annually develop and distribute a publicly available
report on the reported cases of sexual abuse or sexual assault
that occurred on school district property in the previous
school year. The report shall, at a minimum, be posted on the
school district's Internet website and in a newspaper of
general circulation within the district.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
becoming law.
