1 AN ACT concerning regulation.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the Urgent
5Care Price Transparency Act.
6 Section 5. Definitions. In this Act, "urgent care" means
7the delivery of ambulatory medical care outside of a hospital
8emergency department on a walk-in basis without a scheduled
9appointment.
10 Section 10. Posting requirements. A facility that provides
11urgent care, whether or not the facility is owned or operated
12by a hospital licensed under the Hospital Licensing Act or
13organized under the University of Illinois Hospital Act, must
14post and make available the prices for the top 10 procedures or
15treatments that the facility regularly performs.
