Amends the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning legal disability.

1 AN ACT concerning health.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Mental Health and Developmental
5Disabilities Code is amended by changing Section 2-101 as
6follows:
7 (405 ILCS 5/2-101) (from Ch. 91 1/2, par. 2-101)
8 Sec. 2-101. No recipient of services shall be presumed
9legally disabled, nor shall such person be held legally
10disabled except as determined by a court. Such determination
11shall be separate from a judicial proceeding held to determine
12whether a person is subject to involuntary admission or meets
13the the standard for judicial admission.
