Bill Title: Amends the Loan Repayment Assistance for Physicians Act. To address the shortage of obstetrical services in rural communities, provides that a physician who provides obstetrical care and works at a privately owned rural health clinic in this State may qualify for assistance under the Act if all other established criteria are met. Effective immediately.

2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

4 | Section 5. The Loan
Repayment Assistance for Physicians | |||||||||||||||||||
5 | Act is amended by adding Section 27 as follows:

7 | Sec. 27. Additional eligibility; Rural obstetrical | |||||||||||||||||||
8 | services. To address the shortage of obstetrical services in | |||||||||||||||||||
9 | rural communities, a physician who provides obstetrical care | |||||||||||||||||||
10 | and works at a privately owned rural health clinic in this | |||||||||||||||||||
11 | State may qualify for assistance under the program if all | |||||||||||||||||||
12 | other established criteria are met.
