2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Pension Code is amended by changing |
5 | | Section 3-101 as follows:

10 | | police pension fund, as prescribed in this Article, for the

11 | | benefit of its police officers and of their surviving spouses,
|
12 | | children, and certain other dependents. The duty of the |
13 | | corporate authorities of a municipality to establish and |
14 | | administer a police pension fund shall be suspended during any |
15 | | period during which the fund is dissolved under Section 3-144.6 |
16 | | of this Code. |
