Bill Title: Amends the School Code. Provides that no school district shall discriminate against a nonpublic school student on the basis of disability, race, creed, color, gender, national origin, religion, ancestry, marital status, or sexual orientation and shall not require the student to meet the school district's part-time or full-time attendance requirements for the purposes of participating in any of the district's school-sponsored, interscholastic or extracurricular activities or programs if the nonpublic school in which the student is enrolled (i) is located within the boundaries of the school district and (ii) has a student enrollment of less than 10 students. Effective immediately.

Amends the School Code. AN ACT concerning education.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Sections
10-20.69 and 34-18.61 as follows:
(105 ILCS 5/10-20.69 new)
Sec. 10-20.69. Extracurricular activities; nonpublic
school students. No school district shall discriminate against
a nonpublic school student on the basis of disability, race,
creed, color, gender, national origin, religion, ancestry,
marital status, or sexual orientation and shall not require the
student to meet the school district's part-time or full-time
attendance requirements for the purposes of participating in
any of the district's school-sponsored, interscholastic or
extracurricular activities or programs if the nonpublic school
in which the student is enrolled (i) is located within the
boundaries of the school district and (ii) has a student
enrollment of less than 10 students.

Sec. 34-18.61. Extracurricular activities; nonpublic
school students. The school district shall not discriminate
against a nonpublic school student on the basis of disability,

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
becoming law.
