Bill Title: Amends the School Code. Provides that no school district shall discriminate against a nonpublic school student on the basis of disability, race, creed, color, gender, national origin, religion, ancestry, marital status, or sexual orientation and shall not require the student to meet the school district's part-time or full-time attendance requirements for the purposes of participating in any of the district's school-sponsored, interscholastic or extracurricular activities or programs if the nonpublic school in which the student is enrolled (i) is located within the boundaries of the school district and (ii) has a student enrollment of less than 10 students. Effective immediately.

Amends the School Code. Provides that no school district shall discriminate against a nonpublic school student on the basis of disability, race, creed, color, gender, national origin, religion, ancestry, marital status, or sexual orientation and shall not require the student to meet the school district's part-time or full-time attendance requirements for the purposes of participating in any of the district's school-sponsored, interscholastic or extracurricular activities or programs if the nonpublic school in which the student is enrolled (i) is located within the boundaries of the school district and (ii) has a student enrollment of less than 10 students. Effective immediately.

1 AN ACT concerning education.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Sections
510-20.69 and 34-18.61 as follows:
6 (105 ILCS 5/10-20.69 new)
7 Sec. 10-20.69. Extracurricular activities; nonpublic
8school students. No school district shall discriminate against
9a nonpublic school student on the basis of disability, race,
10creed, color, gender, national origin, religion, ancestry,
11marital status, or sexual orientation and shall not require the
12student to meet the school district's part-time or full-time
13attendance requirements for the purposes of participating in
14any of the district's school-sponsored, interscholastic or
15extracurricular activities or programs if the nonpublic school
16in which the student is enrolled (i) is located within the
17boundaries of the school district and (ii) has a student
18enrollment of less than 10 students.
