1 AN ACT concerning regulation.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Public Utilities Act is amended by adding
5Section 9-218 as follows:
6 (220 ILCS 5/9-218 new)
7 Sec. 9-218. Electric utility rate increase.
8Notwithstanding any other provision of law, an electric utility
9may not increase electric rates unless the electric utility has
10provided retail customer rebates under Article XVI in the 5
11years preceding the requested rate increase.
