1 AN ACT concerning transportation.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Highway Code is amended by changing
5Section 9-130 as follows:
6 (605 ILCS 5/9-130) (from Ch. 121, par. 9-130)
7 Sec. 9-130. No person, firm, corporation or institution,
8public or private, shall plow or remove or cause to be plowed
9or removed ice or snow from any shopping center, parking lot,
10commercial or institutional service area or driveway or any
11other public or private service area or driveway and deposit
12such ice or snow upon a public highway or along the shoulder or
13edge of a public highway. Such prohibition shall not pertain to
14a residential driveway or sidewalk.
15 Any person, firm, corporation or institution, public or
16private, who violates this Section is guilty of a petty
17offense.

19 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
