| 1 | AN ACT concerning transportation.
| ||||||
| 2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
| ||||||
| 3 | represented in the General Assembly:
| ||||||
| 4 | Section 5. The Illinois Highway Code is amended by changing | ||||||
| 5 | Section 9-130 as follows:
| ||||||
| 6 | (605 ILCS 5/9-130) (from Ch. 121, par. 9-130)
| ||||||
| 7 | Sec. 9-130.
No person, firm, corporation or institution,
| ||||||
| 8 | public or private,
shall plow or remove or cause to be plowed | ||||||
| 9 | or removed ice or snow from any
shopping center, parking lot, | ||||||
| 10 | commercial or institutional service area or
driveway or any | ||||||
| 11 | other public or private service area or driveway and deposit
| ||||||
| 12 | such ice or snow upon a public highway or along the shoulder or | ||||||
| 13 | edge of
a public highway. Such prohibition shall not pertain to | ||||||
| 14 | a residential driveway
or sidewalk.

| 15 | Any person, firm, corporation or institution, public or | ||||||
| 16 | private, who violates
this Section is guilty of a petty | ||||||
| 17 | offense.
