AN ACT concerning regulation.
|
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
represented in the General Assembly:
|
Section 5. The Home Health, Home Services, and Home Nursing |
Agency Licensing Act is amended by changing Section 2.05 as |
follows:
|

Sec. 2.05.
"Home health services" means services provided
|
to a person at his residence according to a plan of treatment
|
for illness or infirmity
prescribed by a physician licensed to |
practice medicine in all its branches, a physician assistant |
who has been delegated the authority to prescribe home health |
services by his or her supervising physician, or an advanced |
practice nurse who has a written collaborative agreement with a |
collaborating physician that delegates the authority to |
prescribe home health services. Such services include part time |
and
intermittent nursing services and other therapeutic |
services
such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, |
speech therapy,
medical social services, or services provided |
by a home health aide.
