Bill Title: Amends the State Commemorative Dates Act. Provides that June 27 of each year is to be recognized as Post-Traumatic Stress Injury Day to bring awareness to the brave men and women who received post-traumatic stress injuries while risking their lives to protect our freedom, health, and welfare and to recognize those who have suffered post-traumatic stress injuries for their gallantry, commitment, devotion, and sacrifice for our communities.

1 AN ACT concerning State government.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The State Commemorative Dates Act is amended by
5adding Section 218 as follows:
6 (5 ILCS 490/218 new)
7 Sec. 218. Post-Traumatic Stress Injury Awareness Day. June
827 of each year is to be recognized throughout the State as
9Post-Traumatic Stress Injury Day to bring awareness to the
10brave men and women who received post-traumatic stress
11injuries while risking their lives to protect our freedom,
12health, and welfare and to recognize those who have suffered
13post-traumatic stress injuries for their gallantry,
14commitment, devotion, and sacrifice for our communities.
