Amends the Illinois Architecture Practice Act of 1989. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning certifying a record.

1 AN ACT concerning regulation.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Architecture Practice Act of 1989
5is amended by changing Section 35 as follows:
6 (225 ILCS 305/35) (from Ch. 111, par. 1335)
7 (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2020)
8 Sec. 35. The The Department shall not be required to
9certify any record to the court or file any answer in court or
10otherwise appear in any court in a judicial review proceeding,
11unless there is filed in the court with the complaint a receipt
12from the Department acknowledging payment of the costs of
13furnishing and certifying the record. Failure on the part of
14the plaintiff to file such receipt in court shall be grounds
15for dismissal of the action.
