Bill Title: Creates the Human Trafficking Prevention Training Act. Provides that the Department of Human Services shall create a human trafficking prevention training program aimed at the prevention of human trafficking in hotels and motels. Provides that the Department shall use resources published by the United States Department of Homeland Security and the American Hotel and Lodging Association to developing the training program. Provides that an employee of a hotel or motel located in this State shall annually participate in the human trafficking prevention training program. Makes corresponding changes in the Department of Human Services Act.

1 AN ACT concerning human rights.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the Human
5Trafficking Prevention Training Act.
6 Section 5. Human trafficking prevention training. The
7Department of Human Services shall create a human trafficking
8prevention training program aimed at the prevention of human
9trafficking in hotels and motels. The Department shall use
10resources published by the United States Department of Homeland
11Security and the American Hotel and Lodging Association to
12developing the training program.
13 Section 10. Program participation. An employee of a hotel
14or motel located in this State shall annually participate in
15the human trafficking prevention training program.
16 Section 15. The Department of Human Services Act is amended
17by adding Section 10-34.5 as follows:
