1 AN ACT concerning aging.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Respite Program Act is amended by changing
5Section 5 as follows:
6 (320 ILCS 10/5) (from Ch. 23, par. 6205)
7 Sec. 5. Eligibility. The The Department may establish
8eligibility standards for respite services taking into
9consideration the unique economic and social needs of the
10population for whom they are to be provided. The population
11identified for the purposes of this Act includes persons
12suffering from Alzheimer's disease or a related disorder and
13persons who are 60 years of age or older with an identified
14service need. Priority shall be given in all cases to frail
15adults or adults with disabilities.
