2 | | (b) If a licensee operates as a music venue, the licensee |
3 | | shall ensure that, during its hours of operation as a music |
4 | | venue, it or the music venue operator has opioid antagonists |
5 | | available at the premises and that there is a staff member on |
6 | | the premises who has been sufficiently trained on how to |
7 | | properly administer an opioid antagonist. A person who has |
8 | | been certified in the administration of opioid antagonists by |
9 | | a governmental or private entity, regardless of when the |
10 | | person received that certification, is deemed to be |
11 | | sufficiently trained under this Section. |
12 | | (c) A licensee or music venue operator and a person who is |
13 | | sufficiently trained and in good faith administers or provides |
14 | | an opioid antagonist in accordance with this Section, shall |
15 | | not, as a result of the person's acts or omissions, except |
16 | | willful or wanton misconduct on the part of the person, in |
17 | | administering or providing the opioid antagonist, be liable |
18 | | for civil damages.

19 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect June 1, |
20 | | 2024.
