1 AN ACT concerning regulation.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Abused and Neglected Long Term Care Facility
5Residents Reporting Act is amended by changing Section 2 as
6follows:
7 (210 ILCS 30/2) (from Ch. 111 1/2, par. 4162)
8 Sec. 2. The The Illinois Department of Public Health shall
9upon receiving reports made under this Act, seek to protect
10residents and prevent further harm to the resident who was the
11subject of the report and other residents in the facility. In
12performing these duties, the Department may utilize such
13protective services of other State departments, commissions,
14boards or other agencies and any voluntary agencies as are
15available.
