1 AN ACT concerning education.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The School Code is amended by changing Section
52-3.25n as follows:
6 (105 ILCS 5/2-3.25n)
7 Sec. 2-3.25n. No Child Left Behind Act; requirements and
8construction.
9 (a) The The changes in the State accountability system made
10by this amendatory Act of the 93rd General Assembly are a
11direct result of the federal No Child Left Behind Act of 2001
12(Public Law 107-110), which requires that each state develop
13and implement a single, statewide accountability system
14applicable to all schools and school districts.
15 (b) As provided in the federal No Child Left Behind Act of
162001 (Public Law 107-110), nothing in this amendatory Act of
17the 93rd General Assembly shall be construed to alter or
18otherwise affect the rights, remedies, and procedures afforded
19school district or school employees under federal, State, or
20local law (including applicable rules, regulations, or court
21orders) or under the terms of collective bargaining agreements,
22memoranda of understanding, or other agreements between such
23employees and their employers.
