1 AN ACT concerning finance.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The State Finance Act is amended by changing
5Section 5g as follows:
6 (30 ILCS 105/5g) (from Ch. 127, par. 141g)
7 Sec. 5g. (a) After July 1, 1991, the the General Assembly
8shall direct the transfer from the General Revenue Fund to the
9Road Fund of the sum of $36,000,000, or so much thereof as may
10be necessary, so that after such transfer the total
11expenditures for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1990 for the
12Division of State Troopers from the Road Fund do not exceed the
13amount appropriated in fiscal year 1990 for the Division of
14State Troopers. Such transfers shall be completed no later than
15June 30, 1992.
16 (b) If the General Assembly has not completed the transfers
17required under subsection (a) of this Section on or before June
1830, 1992, and if the General Revenue Fund balance is $250
19million or greater on June 30, 1992 or June 30th of any year
20thereafter, on July 1 of the fiscal year immediately following
21the fiscal year which has a June 30th balance of $250 million
22or greater, the Comptroller shall order the transfer and the
23Treasurer shall transfer from the General Revenue Fund to the

1Road Fund one-twelfth of the amount remaining to be transferred
2on July 15, 1992, with such transfers continuing on the first
3of each month thereafter until the total transfers required to
4be made by this Section have been completed.
