Amends the Nursing Home Care Act. Removes provisions that prohibit the use of resident identification wristlets without a physician's order. Requires identification wristlets to be employed for every resident.

1 AN ACT concerning regulation.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Nursing Home Care Act is amended by changing
5Section 2-106a as follows:
6 (210 ILCS 45/2-106a)
7 Sec. 2-106a. Resident identification wristlet.
8Identification wristlets shall be employed for every resident.
9Each identification wristlet shall No identification wristlets
10shall be employed except as ordered by a physician who
11documents the need for such mandatory identification in the
12resident's clinical record. When identification bracelets are
13required, they must identify the resident's name, and the name,
14telephone number, and address of the facility issuing the
15identification wristlet.
