Bill Title: Amends the State Commemorative Dates Act. Provides that the 16th day of July of each year is designated a commemorative holiday to be known as Atomic Veterans Day and to be observed throughout the State as a day in honor and remembrance of the men and women of this Nation who during their time of service experienced exposure to nuclear radiation while on active duty and served so valiantly in the cause of freedom.

2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | Section 5. The State Commemorative Dates Act is amended by | ||||||
5 | adding Section 107 as follows:

7 | Sec. 107. Atomic Veterans Day. The 16th day of July of each | ||||||
8 | year is designated a commemorative holiday to be known as | ||||||
