Bill Title: Amends the Chicago School District Article of the School Code. Requires the school board to establish a fund to compensate students who, beginning with the 2007-2008 school year, were subject to sexual abuse or sexual assault. Requires the board to contribute a minimum of $10,000,000 to the fund. Requires the board to advertise the availability of the fund by posting information about the fund on the school district's Internet website, advertising in a newspaper of general circulation in the district, and advertising on social media. Requires the advertisements to include certain information. Provides that the school board shall obtain the State Board of Education's approval regarding the content of the advertisements and regarding the scope of the school board's advertising efforts to ensure that the advertising efforts are, to the extent possible, sufficient to reach as many parents and legal guardians of eligible students as possible. Amends the State Mandates Act to require implementation without reimbursement by the State. Effective immediately.
