Bill Title: Creates the Cook County Criminal Justice Coordinating Council Act. Creates the Cook County Criminal Justice Coordinating Council to: (1) improve the local public safety system's responsiveness to the needs of the community; (2) improve the local public safety system's cost-effectiveness; (3) coordinate public safety plans, policies, operations, and strategies; (4) develop solutions to problems in the intergovernmental operation of the public safety system; and (5) use evidence-based strategies to address critical issues affecting the community and public safety. Contains provisions governing Council membership, meetings, committees, information sessions for the public, and reporting requirements. Provides that the Council shall be funded by appropriations from the General Assembly and may accept federal, State, and local grants for its operations. Provides that the Council may accept nonprofit support and funding and appropriations from other units of government.
