Summary

Amends the Department of Public Health Powers and Duties Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that the Department of Public Health shall adopt rules requiring that a breakfast cereal company whose product is the subject of a recall on or after the date 10 years before the effective date of the amendatory Act shall file documentation with the Department asserting that all manufacturing equipment used to produce cereal sold by the company (1) is in compliance with all applicable rules and regulations; and (2) is free from contaminating metals. Provides that the required documentation shall be filed on an annual basis for a period of 5 years. Provides penalties for noncompliance.
